Trailing Arms?
’72 C10 full-size bed. Trailing arms are separating. Weld them up? Weld on top & bottom plates? Get new? (if “get new” - where?) Thanks

If it were me and my OEM were compromised I don't think just welding them up would make me feel all that great. I would replace. I think I saw that ECE had some new arms available, and I have found all their stuff to be excellent.

I separate them, clean them up, and stitch weld them back together.... LockDoc

I bought the ones from early classic enterprises that are solid and way heaver that the stock , just get some poly urethane grease for the bushings before installing them

i bought a pair of 3/4 ton ones and welded them up but there was nothing wrong with them, installed new bushings and have new u bolts, just hav'nt put them on yet, thinking about selling them, i'll post pics of the welds if anybody is interested in seeing them.
they also have been powder coated

Thanks for the replies. I bought new - because I have money I haven’t even borrowed yet. What’s the secret(s) for getting the front bolts out - and how do I remove the e-brake cables from the clips? Thanks
