BBC Headers 74 C10
Im new to this whole online forum chatting so please bare with me.
I have a 74 C10 short box 2WD that im putting a 498 stroker block with a 8-71 supercharger in it. I cant find a MFG that has a full length header with 2 1/8 or 2 1/4 primary tube for the truck.I really dont want to do a custom order header. I was reading on other guys using camaro or nova headers on the C10 but their application was with a SBC and their pictures showed a tight fit. Can anyone tell me what years for the camaro and nova headers will work on the 74 C10 and if you have tried it. Thank you |

Re: BBC Headers 74 C10
I have 1 3/4" long tube Chevelle/A-body BBC headers on my 89 CC dually. They fit w/o issue. My frame rails are taller so the collector is above the lower lip on the frame rail. on a 1/2 ton rail they would likely hang slightly below the rail.
I also used 1 3/4" 'mid-length' 68-72 Chevelle BBC headers on my 67. I recall slightly trimming the pass side rail for clearance (not necessary but I wanted the same clearance on both sides).
