Hello all! excited to get started on my new project. Just got my first C10. Its a factory big block 396 but has a 454 now. Factory a/c, power steering, power brakes. I got a deal on it but it still needs a lot of tlc.

sweeeeet! it's my trucks twin! love it. welcome to the forum... can you post a picture of the sticker in the glove box(SPID)?
it looks to be pretty original. it's hard to find original pictures of this specific color combo (mine's in primer). i'd love to see some more pictures inside and out.

So here's the bad and the ugly. Need a parts cab for these areas. I cant find a replacement part for that support anywhere. Found the roof skin, inside and out, but not that windshield post.

Yea I'm gonna stick with it. I just need to get it running and see what happens. Guy I bought it from said it was loosing oil pressure so might be pump, gauge, who knows. On top of that its been sitting for a long time so I'm going to get some marvels mystery oil and go from there.

Chase...you should see if the admins will move this thread to the 67-72 section...or just start a new thread there under the build section.... |

Re: New owner/member
Hello, I'm new to the site and would like to give some information about me . I'm 58 years old and semi-retired. I've been a car guy since I was very young. I have a restored classic 67 Chevelle, and a 66 Belair project under construction. I restored a 72 C10 Cheyenne Super in 1995. I took it to the truck nationals at Carlisle, Pa in 1997. I had no intentions on selling it but a guy offered me crazy money for it and I sold it. I recently discovered a 1969 Chevy C50 at a local farm. I've considered buying it. ??? I'd like to put the C50 body on a more modern 3/4 or 1 ton chassis. I'm looking for some help and ideas on that conversion. ?????
