427 Conversion in a 1966 c-10 w/TK0 600
Hello my brothers!
I've searched and came across a few different answers. Currently have a 66 with a 327 and looking to upgrade to a 427. Has a TK0600 and wanted to ask what i need to worry about if i swap with the kids. Is it a sling and go or will we need to change motor mounts etc? Thanks kindly |

A big block is not a direct swap in place of the small block in these trucks. If you don't want to cut up the firewall, you will need to move the engine forward. If you are currently running the original style engine mounts, I would strongly suggest upgrading to a better mount. Are you going to run the correct short water pump or are you going with a long water pump?

Dont run the long water pump. If you move the motor forward not much room.
