Bed wood I need a favor .....

My stepdad is into wood working so using the specs from the GMC Paul site he has planed down some rough cut quarter sawn kiln dried white oak for my 60 short fleet side. Now comes the problem. My bed wood is so bad none of it makes a good pattern for anything. I need to know the location and curve to the board that goes around the wheel wells. Anybody have any good ideas or tips?

Yep, have the boards cut to length / width, have the groove routered into them, just need to know the second board over from the sides how to determine the section and curve that gets cut out of it for the wheel wells...

When I did mine I slid the boards in and got the gaps set on the entire set. When I was happy with the way they all set I marked the cut out using the wheel well as the pattern. Worked out perfect.

Yes, you don't pre-cut the wheel cut outs. Make your wood, install, drop the tub on top, trace inside with a Sharpie, then cut the wheel openings with a jigsaw.

It's the first full length board on each side, and they both only get a partial cut.
