Blazer doors

I've started hunting (online) for a good set of 69-71 blazer doors for my 70 k5. Any suggestion on places to look other than the parts for sale forum?

Re: Blazer doors

These guys were good for me. They own Woodall brand and it was spot on.

I wasn't planning on going with repro doors but if they fit right maybe that's the direction I'll go. Smitty do you have pictures of them on your k5 - maybe before and after paint?

Re: Blazer doors

I found a good set of truck doors and just cut the window frame down. Also added the reinforcement plate.

I did the same thing and was glad that a friend pointed out the reinforcement plates before I sold the old doors.

Re: Blazer doors

Check Craigslist Denver Colorado. There at least two ads for 1st Gen Blazer doors.

Re: Blazer doors

I really like the doors I bought from GMC Pauls. Very nicely done.

Re: Blazer doors

I actually had good luck with a set from LMC several years ago. I did spray rattle can bed liner paint inside door shells to help stiffen the thin steel. I remember holding them up in the door opening when I first got'em. They looked like they were smaller and would never work. I measured everything and they matched the OE ones. I swapped over the striker plates on each door. Then after paint, I pieced it all back together and they worked very well.
