Re: My 67 Cougar Build

Some minor updates to my build. I received the custom covers for my coyote conversion. Still need to decide how I want them finished.

Re: My 67 Cougar Build

I've been lacking on updates because I haven't had much time to work on the car, but the shell is at the body shop now to prep the car for my upcoming engagement photos. Of course it took a major life event to light a fire, but it's getting there.

Car at media blast. It showed good and bad. I was surprised to find out that the car was originally a vinyl top car. The good, the roof wasn't rotted out like other vinyl top cars. The bad, the quarter panel was replaced sometime in it's life, but the repair work is subpar. The body shop will work with it since quarter panels are hard to find.

Car after epoxy showed even more dings I didn't see when the car was out in the light.

One of the subtle changes. Added a GT-E "esque" cougar hood scoop. It will look similar the g-force cougar hood scoop.

I also managed to find 18" wheels that fit my car and clear the monster 15" rotors from the gt500 brakes I'm using.

Re: My 67 Cougar Build

A few more updates. Body shop laid out the stripes, painted them, and cleared the car.

Short answer is yes. The scoop still needs work, but I needed the car back for engagement photos. After the photos, the car will be going back to the shop for a couple of minor things.
