Hickey roof rack

Several folks have told me it won't work, not the same size, but I know of a hickey roof rack currently on a 73+ blazer. I want so desperately for it to fit on a 69-72. Will it fit? Can it be adapted to fit?

I HAD a picture on my old phone, suppose it didn't transfer

Thanks

Joe

Re: Hickey roof rack

They are different racks however, with some cutting and fiberglass work you could prob make them work.

Re: Hickey roof rack

Curious, my dad ended up with a Hickey roof rack that came with a first gen blazer top but the rack was never installed. He gave me the roof rack to install on my 69-72 assuming that was the application and it doesn't really fit. Do I have a 73 and up roof rack?

Re: Hickey roof rack

I lost the pictures but mine had a 1 inch gap in the center, that one fit a '73 to '75 blazer. That one might pull down on a hot day

So is this fit typical for a 69-72 rack? I have seen some that look like they were born on the roof and others that have 1/4" gap is some places. I guess they are all a little different
