Estimated horsepower

Have 64 c10 with 454 bored 60 over, rpm air gap intake, 750 cfm carb, 049 heads, edelbrock comp cam, headers with dual exhaust h piped , msd e curve distributor , looking for an estimated horsepower from anyone with a lot more knowledge than myself. Appreciate any input. Not sure on compression. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks, sorry posted on the wrong forum.

Re: Estimated horsepower

I would estimate anywhere from 1 to a 1000....its so hard to make a wild guess...there's a lot of varibles go it making hp...if its really important to know then stick it on a dyno.....I would guess maybe 350-400....but then that's still just a wild guess...

Re: Estimated horsepower

Just because you have good parts bolted on don't mean you get hp over what was stock. You need to dyno it. Air gap is a high rpm manifold so don't expect good stoplight street action

Re: Estimated horsepower

Thanks for the responses, I know it was a pretty stupid question but just don't know a lot about the internals of the motor. The guy I bought it from had a whole file of everything but cannot find it, I'm not very knowledgeable about motors as you can tell. Thanks for the responses much appreciated.

Re: Estimated horsepower

not necessarily a stupid question. ...it never hurts to ask....but there so that goes into building a engine for hp ....the package needs to be complete. ...each part affects the others...
