Cut some big holes in the frame.

Smooth siding the stock frame after boxing it.

Hate these dimples and holes

Well if you look at the pictures the Turquoise GMC in the background is my truck, My truck and I worked on this truck .

What did I do WITH my truck? I drove it to work today. These 50+ year old vehicles are like old men, they have good days and bad days. Ol' Blue must have liked the oil change and lube job last weekend, cause today was a good day.

Lol awesome! I drive mine daily and agree, there are good days and bad. But I've never been stranded.... yet... With another winter coming up, I know it'll be complaining just as much as I do about it. Need to build a garage and maybe it'll be happier.

Ha, I am with you. My 78 is my daily driver, and most days are good days, but she's pushing 40 and likes to show it sometimes. Recently the ignition switch gave up the ghost. I was driving home and the truck shut off, just like I had turned the key off.

I get her home start trouble shooting, replace the switch (and ignition cylinder while I'm at it) and TA-DA no more ignition problems.

Spent some good time with the Truck Saturday Morning from 9a-3p at the Lions Club International Touch a Truck in Slidell. This is a great way for kids to get the itch for the hobby of old vehicles.

The kids were excited, the parents were nervous and the owner was calm- how much could they do - it went under 11' of water already! Hopefully, a few kids caught the itch. Smiles all around! I have a ton more pictures, but did not want to clog up the bb.

Went to the dumps in my truck. This is what is weighs with my dog and I and a Big Block in the truck. Minus 280ish lbs. If you can't read it, it is 4220 lbs.

I just got from the dump with mine and it weighed in at 3,882...small block with diamond plate bed....wonder why so much the weight difference John...?

Got the driveshaft, 3 spd manual trans, bell housing, clutch and fly wheel off the 64, and ordered parts. Getting ready for the s10 5 spd conversion.
