Re: 63 c10, installing a LS engine

2 of the holes are beveled so that you use a tapered mounting bolt into the block behind the motor mounts. if I flip the other way the beveled holes are in the wrong spot. I called POL and asked and he said that it was mounted correctly but another set of plates I purchased that said they put the motor into the stock location are the same as these ones in the full engine forward position.

Re: 63 c10, installing a LS engine

I used ebay plates on mine that locate LS to stock location and all my holes were countersunk...they had both stock location and 2in forward

Re: 63 c10, installing a LS engine

I may have to counter sink opposite holes myself, just wanted to make sure before I messed something up. I think ill send pics to POL as I'm sure they will look into the issues for me????

Re: 63 c10, installing a LS engine

looks like your trans mount needs flipped around so the mount tab is on the backside of the crossmember

surely they'll help you out...was there a right and left side to the mounts?

Re: 63 c10, installing a LS engine

I believe the trans crossmember needs to be flipped around so that the tube is forward of the mount. But I have never used an aftermarket trans crossmember.....plenty of factory crossmembers to be found that work just fine.
