When I started in the body shop biz back in 1980 there were still a lot of 60's and 70's GM cars and trucks coming through the shop.When we bought replacement trim from GM they would come with the nylon retaining clips and some tiny #1 Phillips screws that had a shoulder that would hold the clips without over tightening them. You could even snap the retaining clip on and off after installation just like the welded studs. It would be great to find a supplier of those now.Made installation a snap.
