Anybody Shortened a LWB Frame to SWB Specs???? - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

I've seen the tech article on the ECE site, but they don't give specific measurements of where to cut the piece out from under the frame.They do say to cut 8" off the back. I know you have to move the rear cab mount back, but what about where the box mounts.

Does anybody know where to make the cuts exacally??

Does it really matter what section of frame is removed, as long as it's flat??
