55 to 59 door molex (wiring boots)
What is everyone using? I came up with nothing from the usual parts suppliers...
The boots to run wires from the post to inside the doors Last edited by Dave0; 11-23-2017 at 11:02 AM. |

Re: 55 to 59 door molex
you could run plastic corrugated tubing, I've seen that done and it's cheap.

Re: 55 to 59 door molex
I made these. For some reason they look a lot like the ones Ogre made.

I'm going to do plastic tubing, o-ring and grommet like this:

Re: 55 to 59 door molex
i tried the flexible braided loom and didn't have much success with it
1st it is very small, if you only need small speaker wires in the door you may get it to work 2nd the hinge pivots on tf trucks moves the door in a sliding movement more than a swing motion the enginerd in me drew this 1st pic up so i could design the door loom dan made the tube is 3/4'' square aluminum, flat stock is 2''x1/4'', roll pin pivot; all bought from my local home depot installed pics show full open and mostly closed positions the 3/4'' sq tube allowed 6 wires: 2 #16 speaker, 2 #14 power window and 2 #14 power solenoid wires the red plastic washers in dan's pic are slide bushings for the door

I've recently put about 50-60 hours into panel fitting recently in hopes that I can paint in the spring. Nothing's gone into the build thread because it's like watching grass grow...
