60-66 Headers

I know there are tons of threads on this, but the Hedman 69230's fit like a glove. Especially for a lowered truck. They are a 67-87 4x4 header but I swear they were meant for lowered trucks.

I blasted them and used POR-15 High temp alum paint. Turned out nice.

Here are a few pics of them on my 65.

Nice. Are you using a fan on that engine with the shroud?

Yes I am. It's a mechanical fan. I can find the part number if you need it.

Looking at yours, you are running an automatic, do you think it would clear clutch linkage and Z bar on a manual...? just curious.

Re: 60-66 Headers

I think block huggers will work also. I just installed some on a 1961 impala.

No, I don't believe the z bar will clear.

I had tried block huggers years ago and they wouldn't work. The ones I had anyways.

The #1 primary tube hit the motor mount where it bolts to the top of the frame.

Re: 60-66 Headers

Those headers will not work with the stock bellhousing crossmember in place. You would have to install a rear trans mount and likely convert to a hydraulic clutch.
