Ridetech Coilover System
Hi
Has anyone information or experience with the "Ridetech Coilover System for 63-70 C10" ? My truck is a long bed, and I want to keep that way, I know that a note says "This kit is designed for use with a 1-piece drive shaft." , but it must be possible to convert my 2-piece to a 1-piece drive shaft, or what ? |

It sucks not being able to hear! LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB! After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs. |

The second would be to fabricate your own brackets and mount your carrier bearing to the trailing arm cross member. I have seen this modification before, and if done correctly, causes no issues whatsoever with the coilover kit. My personal preference would be to go ahead and convert over to 1pc and be done with it but it really all comes down to what your time, skill level and budget will allow. Feel free to contact me direct if you have any questions, Ill be more than happy to help you out.

Re: Ridetech Coilover System
Thanks to both of you, for quick and good information ! John, I have already lowered the truck 2,5 in the front since I installed a CCP big break kit with disc brakes on all 4, so I suppose I can use those spindles from CCP ? The first thing I will do this winter is to change the engine and transmission.

Re: Ridetech Coilover System
I think I will go for a 383 stroker and 700R4 , or something similar. It's a new hobby, and I have never done anything with cars, but I have always loved to create things. I bought the truck last august , and I lowered and upgraded the brakes, changed all moving parts in the front suspension, new seats + instruments + steering wheel + retro sound stereo + grill and bumper and I made a top on the back so I can have all my windsurfer equipment under neath. It gives me a lot of good time and happiness
