Re: Building an engine
I would use the edelbrock rpm intake. Hard to tell without more info, like what your trying to achieve ( towing, street/drag, ect...). But I think the RPM is a good all around intake.

So the truck has a 305 now and your replacing the engine?
If so what block are you installing. If your rebuilding the old 305 personally I wouldn't bother. 305s are dogs and not worth putting that kind of cash into. It just won't get near the performance as a 350 with similar upgrades. |

Re: Building an engine
Hi folks good morning.
The water neck on the edelbrock intake leaks water coolant. I’ve been trying to stop the leak with different gaskets and still leaking, but I’m not sure if besides the gasket it also needs an o ring or if there is an special gasket. Thank you |

Re: Building an engine
You can buy o-ring type gaskets.
No gaurentee you'll stop the leak. Sometimes it's a better idea to get a better thermo housing. http://www.autozone.com/cooling-heat...41_69327_15298 |

Re: Building an engine
A little Permatex the right stuff gasket maker on both sides of the gasket and it won’t leak. Doesn’t take much. Those thermostat housings can be fun to get to seal.
