Garage Door Opening.
Hi, I'm looking for a little help.
Can anyone that has a 4" or 6" lift with 35" tires please measure the height of their truck from the ground to the top of their window frame and provide me with their measurement? It looks like I am going to clear my garage door opening by around 2", the opening is just under 84". The top of my window frame is coming in at 81.75", this is of course once I add everything up since the body and frame are separated. I am thinking I will lose an inch or better in height once all of the weight is on the frame. I am just looking for reassurance that I will not have to air down my tires in order to get in and out of the garage. I am running a 5" lift with 35" tires. Thank you!

Re: Garage Door Opening.
4" lift with 35's.
garage opening to floor is 6'5" but i push it up by hand an inch or 2 to clear my roll bar without scrubbing. i've never attempted with my top on as i know it wouldn't work. i have considered modifying my garage door linkage to lift a couple inches higher but I never really had to. good looking build you have going --edit--just measured from floor to top of windshield frame and it looks like 77" so my door opening is closer to 78". truck has new body mounts but must have settled a little over the years (i know i sure have) Last edited by Walter White; 11-29-2017 at 10:44 PM. |

Re: Garage Door Opening.
6" lift and 35" tires
app. 82". I was going to lay something across the top to get a true measurement. It is just shy of 82". Scott |

Re: Garage Door Opening.
It is funny because I have a 7'3" door. In a few weeks it will be ready to make its 1st venture out since the lift kit and tires.
Your post actually make me so, Oh Snap!. The after the measurement it was a WHEW!. Scott |
