Neutral Safety Switch

My '76 sometimes does nothing when I turn the key to start it. I giggle the shift leaver, and she fires right up.

I'm thinking it's the neutral safety switch. How do I fix it?

i believe its on the column i have had this problem as well, if it doesnt start in park, put it in nuetral and it should work. you may have to drop the column to access the switch. you just unplug it and unbolt it and put new one in. i replaced it about the same time i replaced the ignition switch, so i dont remember exactly .. but i believe it is closer to the firewall.. i am sure someone else knows better.....

it should be where the column passes into the firewall inside.
Pull all the carpet and jute out of the way and you can see it right on top of the column down there.
That make sense?
(on top down there) hehe.
