You have friends?!?!?
Who cares, isn't it YOUR truck? If they don't like them, they don't have to buy them for their vehicles.

i actually like them a lot. they sound very mellow and even when i'm getting on the gas unlike those flowmasters i had. these also flow SO much better. they are straight through like a muffler should be they are just SO quite at idle. |

i really loved the way the flows sounded at idle, but under acceloration, it sounded awful i think. as much as i'm gonna want ot drive my truck, i didnt want it to be so loud. |

i had a single magnaflow before my headers and duals and such. They are quiet at idle, but still have a nice tone under throttle and wot. i would go with them or aerochambers over flows.

They'll get a bit louder over time -- They still need to be broken in

I just put a single 3" on my Jimmy. (the didn't have Dynomax there at the time dangit). Magnaflows are like the dynomax at idle, but a little louder when under accelleration.

I've been boasting the MAGNAFLOWS for years, I have a single 3inx3out on mine, I like the tone of it and with its straight through design,I dont think it restricted the exhaust, especially if you have to contend with EMISSIONS

It's your truck and you're paying for it so it really doesn't matter what they think.

Did you get any sound clips yet? Would you happen to have the part numbers for the mufflers?

Are you running cats or not? I know 40s are VERY loud without cats, especially with headers, mine are the perfect loudness now I think, and apparently their pretty loud according to my brother who was following me home one day, he could easily hear it with his windows up, and I actually set off a car alarm one day in the parking lot, but they don't sound very loud inside the truck at all. When I replace the exhaust i'm gonna put some of the magnaflows on and see how I like them, I don't like the way flows sound just cruising around personally but I get lots of compliments about how my truck sounds. Thats with 2 1/4" mandrel exhaut pipe and no H-Pipe.

i had 2.5" pipes including H-pipe. dual 40 series flows dumped before the axle. no cats.
at stoplights, it would rattle cars next to me. way to loud for my liking. they were really quite on the 305 |
