WTB: P/S pump pulley, GM #3993325DJ
Needed: Power steering pump pulley.
This one has part number 3993325DJ stamped on it. I think it came off of a 72 4x4 small block, no A/C. This one is bent to sh!t. Kinda scared to call the dealer, but I suppose I will have to if I can't find a good used one. Thanks!!!

With the cost of the new pulley compared to the hassle of removing a PS pulley from a used pump I'd say go to the dealer. At least that is wht I did. Sometimes those pulleys are on there darn hard and unless you have the right puller it will be difficult to get off. I don't remember wha I paid, but maybe $20 or so.

Ahh, maybe its just me! I never had an actual ps pulley puller, just a generic snap on puller set and for the life of me I couldn't get the last one off I tried.

Yup, not available from the dealer.
Those that are on eBay, how many different variaties are there of the keyway'd pulleys? Other than different diameters (if that is the case), is there different backspacing (?)

Keyed are keyed through '84 and all the small block ones are pretty much the same. I would go w/ a aluminum one as the steel ones(on Ebay) are cheap China jobs and tweak easy. You may also find a OE one on Ebay.

Thanks, boraxman. I checked eBay and found an aluminum one. Good deal, since I have aluminum pulleys already.
And you are absolutely correct about the chrome ones. I bought a chrome water pump pulley. Bent hunk of junk!! That's why I went with aluminum

Seems like about 1/2 of them are bent nowdays.
I just tweak them back till they are running true again. I've done this to several and never had any more trouble out of them.

Like TX FIREFIGHTER said, use a rubber hammer to tap the high spot and they normally straighten right up. They bend easy and they straighten easy.

I went ahead and bought an aluminum one off of eBay. But I might go ahead an try to straighten this one out just to have around for the next project

Thanks 69k5. I'll keep it in mind for the next project. How much do you want for it? Send me a PM if you want.
Thanks, Bob
