Seam sealer required?

So it looks like the body shop forgot to seal these body seams around the windshield. I have body sealer but want to confirm these seams should be sealed and painted before the windshield is installed.

BTW, there was absolutely no rust to repair before painting. This truck spent the first 23 years in California and the last 20 years in my basement.

Time for them to fix that ! it will leak like crazy . Whoever sprayed it should have known . Now you have to check all the other seams around/above the doors to see if they missed those too ? Big mistake . if they didn't use sealer in the easy spots what about up under the dash where you really need to make sure it doesn't leak ??

Now I'd be wondering what they used in the drip rail ? If they didn't know enough to seam seal it what else did they miss ? What does the top body seam look like ? OOPS!!

There is no over the paint fix , it's a re sand , seal and re shoot the paint .

I fill and smooth as many seams and over laps as possible, Clean and prime with epoxy... I use polyurethane caulk. Sika Flex 1A...about the same as 3m 5200..smooth it out with reducer on glove.....Others stick with Sem, or other quality seam sealer....Best of luck...Merry Christmas.....Red paint is lookin good....BTW.

This was the only area they missed. They did remove all the old sealer from the drip rail and resealed it. Did a very good job on and elsewhere.

The upper was open and unsealed on my 72, presumably (from my thinking) to allow any possible moisture to escape from between the inner and outer roof panels. Maybe it fell out when I removed the windshield?? I left it unsealed.

The lower was sealed, I chipped it out, cleaned and resealed.
