Newer Chevy Rims Fit?
There's a Craigslist offer for 4 take-off Late Model Chevy 6-lug aluminum rims and tires.
Will these fit the offset of a 1968 Model Year C/10 truck, and 6-lug 5.5'' spacing? Will I have to get a machinist to open them up to fit a '71 GMC Jimmy's 4x4 front hubs? Will the HD finned brake drums fit inside the back of the newer rims? I do like the way they look, and the guy's price isn't bad.

Re: Newer Chevy Rims Fit?
The center pilot is too small. You will have to have a machinist open the back up on the 2x4 truck or open it clear through for the 4x4 hub.

Could use 2" spacers to bolt new wheels on no problem

Re: Newer Chevy Rims Fit?
Would that be advisable on a 4x4 that goes to more places than the Mall?

Re: Newer Chevy Rims Fit?
That's about what I thought. What about backspacing? Would the tire be centered in the wheelwell?
