Re: Newbie, Buying my first. 72 GMC K20
Good to here you're keeping the truck man It's tough moving around and having a project but looks like you have a game plan. Keep plugging away on it and good things come in time.

Good for you, even if the build takes quite a while so what, main thing is you have it. This is the 4th time I have owned the same 71 Gmc, going to finally keep it and build as time allows.
Mudman.

Re: Newbie, Buying my first. 72 GMC K20
Hello Y'all, I apologize for not posting in a while, hard times always get worse before they are over. We're getting back on our feet and I'm starting to work on the old girl again. The front clip is stored away in our big barn, the cab is about ready to be pulled. But I'm waiting till we find another frame. I have been slowly waiting for a correct 67-72 frame and still found nothing. So I have done all my research and am prepared to go with a 73-87 frame. Ill be using just the frame. The Impala 350 block is gone. Ive decided to wait and build the motor I want. I still have the th350 but will eventually buy a 4 speed (Dads been teaching me to drive stick and I love it). I still haven't decided on paint yet, but I'm trying to get the game plan laid out as best I can

Re: Newbie, Buying my first. 72 GMC K20
Hey Joseph, good to hear from you and you're still plugging away at it I did a search on Craigslist (1972 K20) somewhat near you and a few popped up.
1972 rolling chassis and small block https://wilmington.craigslist.org/ct...429588630.html 1972 whole truck https://louisville.craigslist.org/ct...439588813.html Save up a truck cash stash and keep looking on Craigslist. They are out there and pop up now and then

Re: Newbie, Buying my first. 72 GMC K20
I would love to go look at those, but unfortunately we'd have no way to bring them back. We're restricted to local for the time being. Im about to start building a 16ft car hauler soon. As it turns out the PO of our property left a few trailers buried in the woods in our back pasture.
