Question tilt hood

How can I get my '77 Silverado hood to tilt forward? I've seen this on other trucks but have not been able to find out hoe they did it.

i have only seen one 73-87 with a hood like that. most of the time, they use a one peice front clip (fenders, hood, and grill all together) made out of fibergalss. im sure someone here has a couple pics and info on them.

tilthood

All you need is a set of buick hood hinges. They mount to the fenders then to the hood.Still uses stock latch. If i can find the website that has pics i will post again.I did mine and it is not that hard but takes time to get it lined backup.

www.usbody.com has them. They don't have many pics but have a large amount of fiberglass parts in crazy forms.

that gives me a crazy idea about the buick hinges. I got a 52 buick and the hood opens up from the sides, on either side. there is a pull inside the car on pass. and driver side. pull one and the hood opens from drivers side, pull the other it opens from pass. side, pull both and the hood can just be lifted right off. I think it's pretty cool myself. I think using that old buick hinge setup it could be adapted to about any vehicle. Thats one thing I can't remeber seeing on any other vehicle. all you need is a buddy and the hood can be taken off and installed in a matter of seconds.
