Steering column rookie question
I have a 64 c10 without a column, i also have a c20 with a floor shift column as it has a 4 speed transmission. My question is, and I apologize in advance if it's brutally obvious, but can I swap this column into the c10 and put in a mastershifter for my 3 speed transmission. I tried to search through the steering column threads but couldn't exactly find my answer. Any help is appreciated, thanks!

I have answered quite a few column questions but I can't help you with that one. Mostly because I'm not familiar with the '64 columns. Sorry. I wonder if I need to move this to the '60-'66 trucks message board. Someone there should know. LockDoc

Re: Steering column rookie question
Yeah sorry, my first post other than the welcome room post. I'm sure I will figure how to do that when I post eventually... I appreciate it.

Re: Steering column rookie question
I can't positively say, but I can't imagine why not. You may just have to give it a try.

Re: Steering column rookie question
The '63-'66 columns will physically interchange but the '63 turnsignal wiring is different than the '64-5-6. You did not say what year your C20 is.

Re: Steering column rookie question
Looked in your other posts and looks like your C20 is also a '64, so yes it will work.

Re: Steering column rookie question
That is great news gentleman! Going down to the property to finish stripping the c20 down next weekend and then it's go time! I appreciate the info and I will be in touch Captain Fab for the ps bracket very soon.
