What a/c kit?
I have a 68' 2wd I am building, The firewall is shaved already and I will be running a 454 with the fitech kit if that matters? I have a factory a/c dash I am installing as well. I would prefer a clean firewall and to be able to use the factory duct openings. What kits should i be looking at and where is the best place to buy?

A search will bring many threads and opinions. My choice has always been vintage air, the gen iv kit is nice!

Vintage Air Gen IV here... Also a running a big block, shaved firewall and factory a/c cab. Very nice kit, and you can run the lines around and use the various bulkheads they offer to suit your needs.

I have installed 3 Classic air systems in 3 different vehicles and wouldn't use anything else.
https://originalair.com/ You can have the lines custom made locally if you have a good AC shop near by. I did my 64 SS Impala and had longer hoses made to run in behind the fender cleaned up the motor area nicely. I had all the fittings but one for the Impala left over from the truck and 56 Bel Air. The hose clamps on the compressor are as it came from the factory. They didn't crimp fittings back then. I kept them like this are would had to buy a whole new line out setup on the back of the compressor. So I double clamped them.

Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs. |

I installed a Vintage Air system in a 75 c10 with factory air. If I could do that myself, I'd say just about anyone can.
