305 V-6 Hd
Does anybody know anything about a 305 V-6 HD. What were they used for? H.P. rating? Why they were built? ECT.

the early v-6s had 150 HP and later 305s (63 and up) had 165HP. they were built as truck engines, and as such, will outlast an average cheebie small block by about 4 times. lotsa down-low torque for pulling, but don't expect to rev em more than 3800 and expect them to live. if you want a hot-rodder, swap it out.

i have a 63 gmc with the v6 it only has 142hp, but the torque is about 260 ft.lb.
