Best weigh to ship an NP203?

What's the best and cheapest way to ship an NP203 trasnfer case. It weighs somewhere about 175 lbs from what I hear.

Thanks.

i have heard they are closer to 200, but ouch...
these things arent that rare, if you look you can find one and pick it up cheap and save on the shipping.
Greyhound would probably be good for this, you'd have to pallet it, though.

I had a rebuilt NP205 sent through UPS, it showed the weight to be 137 pounds.

I pulled my NP203 and It is definatley over 200 pounds and awkward. You will definatley have to pallet ship it.

I wouldn't think it would be worth shipping though. They are a dime a dozen. I've seen people giving them away.

I shipped a NP205 with automatic adapter from Northern nevada to about the middle of washington and had to go with motor cargo because of the weight and it was $160. Talk abaout a heart attack.

I seriously doubt it is over 200 lb. Somebody needs to way one.

if its under 150lbs, build a crate and ship it via fedex ground terminal to terminal.

I did this with a np435. It came to 145lbs crated. I just made a simple crate out of pine 1x3.

A whole list of different parts and weights for shipping.

"NP203 Range box w/ output shaft: 87#
NP203 Range box w/adapter and output shaft for a 465 in a crate: 131# "

As mentioned, FedEx does up to 150#

Nice to know but I think he wants to ship a whole 203? How heavy is the 'chain' part of the case?
