corvette tach?

i saw that tach on a 69 corvette listed on ebay and wondered if it could be retrofitted to work in one of our gauge clusters in the fuel gauge position or is it a completely different size. notice it is a 7k rpm tach. im just wondering if anybody has ever tried this before.

i saw those gauges you have on ebay pardues customs and liked them. they actually look realllly cool. but i dont have 200 to fork over for a gauge cluster. i already did mine kinda. the camaro tach, speedo and fuel gauge look good like that, but i was wondering if the 7k corvette tach would fit for that bigger look ya know. thanks all

Duallie is right! They were driven off the distributor with a speedometer type cable right up till 74.

A board memeber was working on the vette gauge conversion for our trucks last year. (72chevyLWB) I think.
