My camera works - but I don't. I havent' had any progress in over a year.

Hopefully with the sunlight after work, I may be able to get something done in the evenings. The steering wheel and carpet have mold growing on them!

Put the cowl on and the front parking light housings. Got the hood on too but still need to get it lined up good.
Lining up the fenders, cowl and doors wasn't too easy, but we got it pretty close. Doesn't sound like alot, but man does this stuff take time...
Look for the right tools.....
"Where did I put that bolt?"
Tighten the bolt- fit the panel, loosen the bolt, fit the panel, tighten, loosen... WHEW!!

Looking Great,You did a Hella of job on your blazer..tHopefully you will get to pull the top off this summer, I lived in Seattle for 12 years and I know how the summers can be.

here is a pic with the hood on and the front end finally all put together...We just need the sealer that goes under the cowl between the cowl and the firewall.
Starting on the doors this weekend....Electric windows----I couldn't talk my hubby into keyless entry....I will keep trying!

Once the windows are done we will be bolting in the front seats and taking it for a spin!!!! Yeah!!

Thanks for all the great compliments guys!! This is the first time either my husband or I have restored a vehicle, and we are LEARNING alot of things

Good and Bad!! Lots of work, $$ and hard lessons, but we keep plugging away. We have a friend coming over in the next few weeks to install the DVD player and flip down screen (going to hang from the roll bar.)

Also a cd player in the glove box or something similar-(Keeping the orig AM in the dash) I hope the cd player sounds good - a 6x9 in each door, and a 6x9 in each of the cargo panels.
Anyways... I love this board!!

Question? With the DVD flipping from the rollbar, are you going to ever take the top off? Security and the elements might be a major issue.

Also, make sure you get an amp rather than using the power from the stereo only. You'll get MUCH better sound that way with a fuller feel.

Living in Washington we probably won't take the top off much, but we are going to mount the flip-down screen onto an alum. plate, and then mount that on a plate that you can see in the pic below in the middle of the roll bar. We will make it a "Quick-release" sort of thing and be able to detach the wiring so we can take the screen out for "security" or "elements" Hopefull it will work okay- haven't REALLY worked out all the details---hoping for not alot of bugs in the plan

On the amp...I am not sure about any stuff with the stereo, but the friend that is doing all the work has a van that can blow your eardrums...he is REALLY into the whole stereo deal, so I think he will fix us up good!

You are doing a great job with the restoration. About the suspension, what size lift and tires? I am thinking of a 4" suspension lift w/ 33x12.50 tires. Your Blazer looks just about right.

Dragonslayer- No lift- just stock. We put eagle alloy 15x10 wheels with 31" TOYO AT tires. Once I drive it I will let you know how it does!

Someday, eh? I still haven't driven this bugger!

Very clean Blazer! Hopefully you'll be able to drive it around soon.

I still need to do a few more things to mine before I drive it much. I have to crawl under it and put a new oil pan seal on it. The one that came with the new motor was a 4 piece oil seal. Talk about dumb! Well it leaks (no suprise). So I'll try and find a better gasket and hopefully it will seal.
