Gears
I have a 1964 c10 with a straight 6 An 4 speed on floor. I'm running 22 on rear An 20 on front. I run at 60mph turning 4K. Yea a little high. Looking to find a more highway gear. But don't no what to go with. Is there any other rear ends out there that will match up to mine. I'm not for sure what gears r in it now.

Re: Gears
welcome. ..holy cow!!! ....4000 rpm?...rim size has no effect on rpms....you need to know 4th grear in trans ratio, rear axle ratio, and tire diameter....you can plug numbers into calculator like this to find what you need for a axle ratio to get your rpms down....

Re: Gears
you'd bout have to have a 5.13 rear ratio and 26in tall tire to turn 4k with a 1:1 final in the trans at 60mph

Re: Gears
It sounds like your tach is not set to the 6cyl setting.

Re: Gears
Gear is the least of your problems. I'd start engine shopping, if that six is turning 4K, you're going to need one soon.
