Re: 3" F/5" R drop with rear leafs help.

Yes. But you have to buy replacement leafs. And 3" coils can be pushing it in the front.

I did a flip on the back of my 69 short step with it's leaves, and that is an option. But on my truck it dropped it 7 1/2" in the rear which ain't 5.

I am super happy with the 4.5"/7" that I netted with the ECE disc conversion on the front and the DJM flip on the rear.

On my old 70 GMC 2500 I just did 1 1/2" shackles on the rear that leveled it out and called it good.

Thanks for the reply. Ya, that may be a bit too low for me. Got any pics?

That's a clean truck and a clean drop. But too low for my rig. It's a LWB. So a flip gives it a 7" drop I see. Do you have pics of the '70 after the shackle drop?? Its seems hard to drop a 2500 on leafs.

Re: 3" F/5" R drop with rear leafs help.

Not hard, just expensive to buy new leaf springs. I don’t have a good pic, but it sat pretty level and I was happy with that. Used it to haul quite often and didn’t want to give any travel up. Ran 265 75 16 so needed some wheelwell.

Try the shackle, it’s worth $75 or whatever it cost to get back done. Lower position requires notching bed support possibly. But 2” shackle and 1” drop big block spring with 245 75 16 or equivalent should be great.

Early Classic Enterprises where I’d spend my $.
