On my truck the front right tire sticks out of the fender about 1 1/2 inch +or- than the front left?? I can’t find any obvious reason for this. I did lower the truck with 2 1/2-drop spindles from early classic and drop springs in the back. The rear tires are fine. I am lost. Thanks for the help

sorry I dont have digital cam so no pics yet. The Wheels are 10X15 mags and the backspacing is the same.

I just found a 71lwb and it was a little off center also, how about the rest of you?

If you cant get pics, take some measurements on each side. Measure from the frame to the edge of the disk brake with the truck on level ground. Then jack up the truck and (support it somewhere besides the arms) then take some measurements. I think after you do this you will figure it out.

I had a '75 camaro once that had the same problem, turned out to be the prev owner put a fender on the drivers side from a later model car that was flared out bigger

First thing I would do is check alignment. Sounds like your camber might be off. On a flat surface put a level on each front rim edge to check if the wheels are fairly straight up and down. But you probably got an alignment when the spindles were installed right?

Well if all those things for checkin frame straightness dont work perhaps someone shifted the body and stuff on that truck. it happens sometimes when vehicles get lifted or have their cab/body mounts replaced. Just a thought...

Yep, That is what I was thinking, if you start measurin you you will be able to see if it is the body or the alighnment.......

Mine is the same way. My cab isn't strait. I'll get around to fixxin it one day.

I cant say for sure, but 2 out of three of my trucks is like that, and it is the radiator support off center. A way to check if it is in the body or the chassis is to look at and measure the front bumper alignment with the sheetmetal. The bumper is hitched to the frame, so it should be a good fixed reference.
Many of these year trucks have loose radiator support to frame mounts, and the front end metal gets offset.
