Wire out of harness to temp sending unit

I have looked and see what color wire I am looking for but can not find it to save my life. Where would it come out of the wiring harness to go to the sending unit??? Thanks in advance...

Check the firewall block and follow the small harness in the rain gutter with the blue oil sending unit wire in it. You won't have the blue wire with a gauge dash but it may be in the small harness behind the left valve cover with the purple starter solenoid wire.

I'll see if I can find a picture.

Re: Wire out of harness to temp sending unit

Thank's Vette. I am gonna look for it this evening when it warms up a little. I have only had this truck a couple weeks and there is a sending unit in the intake but no wire to it. This truck has a 454 and there is a place in the heads for a sending unit between the header exhaust near a spark plug I believe but it has just a cast square head plug threaded in it. I am nervous about driving it much without a way to watch the temp even though it seems to be running fine it could go south in a hurry.
