Boy, do I know that feeling! I know that I did everything right, but there is always that lingering doubt. When it starts and runs without knocking or smoking (much), it's pretty special, even if you've done it a thousand times. I'm at maybe a hundred, not having done it in 15 years. But still.

Given the age of this thread, I'm pretty sure that telling the guy that a Q-Jet should have the choke closed partially and carefully until a max speed is reached, to avoid a lean condition, during cam break in is important.
