Mini starter for inline 6

Is your six block drilled for the diagonal bolts? My 250 six was drilled for both in line and diagonal starters. I always thought that the starters were the same for six and small block, and that what matters is the flywheel/flex plate diameter. the inline bolt starters fit the 153 tooth flywheels, and the diagonal bolt starters fit the 168 tooth flywheels. But that is just what I thought. May someone else will confirm it for you.
