Yeah, it wasn't pretty but in about 30 minutes I had the ability to R&R my trans by myself.

Is the best way to do this is to take the transmission out first and then take the bell housing out after ? If so did you put it in the same way or bot together ?

Removing the SM465 was easier (for me) by leaving the BH attached to the motor. When I installed my NV4500, I had to install both the trans and the BH as a unit because I had drilled/tapped the trans to accept bolts and used the original cast iron BH. The modification then necessitated bolting the BH on with bolts to the inside so the NV must go in with the BH attached. (In my case)

Still, it was very easy to align and adjust while suspended from the cables.

I really need to get the dump out of the garage . Since the shifter was in there pretty tight with one pin and I put new pin on the side I broke and was tight I am going to JB weld the top part that’s Chipped . I am going to look for another cover . When you look at what really is holding the shifter in it looks like thin sheet metal. Who knows the JB weld might last forever. I really don’t use the dump much in my lawn care business maybe 1000 or so miles a year.
