Re: How I routed my exhaust.
Thanks for the info on the dye. I'll have to read up on that.

Re: How I routed my exhaust.
Mine is ran almost the same way, but the transition to the outside of the frame happens before the frame flattens out on mine, just behind the control arms. It's definitely funky, but it works well for now. I'll get pics when I get a chance. I think all said and done, if I had the money I'd do it between the rails with some cutouts in the trailing arm crossmember like we see on bagged trucks. So clean that way.

His long pipe headers may have put the collector beyond the wheel wells such that going under the frame after it flattens out may have been the only option. Are you running shorty headers or rams horns? |

Re: How I routed my exhaust.
You are correct. I wish the long tube headers were shorter. If they were I could have tucked it up under where the frame bends up into the wheel well.

Re: How I routed my exhaust.
I'm still considering that option. Although I suspect there is sufficient clearance (pipe to tire) after going through the well, I'm not yet comfortable with that much heat being close to the tire. My own preference for routing would be as you have done.

Re: How I routed my exhaust.
You're welcome. I got a can of spray-on vinyl dye from Autozone to recolor my visors and just decided to try it on my steering wheel (which I believe is a phenolic). My steering wheel being a dark red to start with was fairly easy to turn black. I do not know if that works as well going the other direction (changing from a dark color to lighter).
