Spark plugs

I have an almost new Blueprint high performance 383. My problem is my Fitech fuel fouls my plugs. its happend twice one with plugs Champion 792 (what bluerprint recommended) and NGK 7405. if there a hotter plug that or a better plug that i could use? and does anyone on here know more on setting for fitech to put less fuel when its cold so it won't do that anymore.

Re: Spark plugs

Do you have enough ignition in that thing to fire the plugs?

Re: Spark plugs

Assuming it was running well before you installed the system, your problem is a tuning issue not a plug problem. I have no experience with the fitech system, some members here have installed them, maybe they'll chime in. It should have several "base" calibrations you can load & should also have a self-learn feature so it will tune as you drive.

Re: Spark plugs

There are lots of discussions out there regarding FiTech ( et al EFI makers products ) and fouled plugs. Many refer to leaky intake/exhaust systems, bad O2 readings and questionable A/F targets.

Seems there are quite a few different causes for rich conditions with the EFI systems today. I would contact the tech support for your EFI unit and have them help you troubleshoot the issue as I'm sure they are familiar with common causes and solutions! Sometimes, it just makes sense to ask the manufacturer!
