Under bed gas tank filler tube to saddle tank door(s)

1969 GMC. My truck has a bed with the saddle tank doors. Not the original bed. Was wondering if i can run the filler tube to one of the saddle tank doors. Or to get creative, run a filler tube to both saddle tank doors. Either split the filler tube or add an additional hole to the tank. Thoughts?? Thanks
