Re: New brakes suck
What was the original bore size on the stock MC? If it was different from what you're running now, which I believe you said is a 1" bore, that may have something to do with it.

Re: New brakes suck
I could take a look at the brakes if you would like, Im in Tacoma. I have an adapter to pressure bleed, which is probably what you need done.

Re: New brakes suck
Normally, a 1" bore will give you more pressure and less volume. A 1 1/8" bore will give you more volume and less pressure. I don't know a whole lot about power brakes, but have you tried running an 1 1/8" bore master cylinder?

Re: New brakes suck
I have not- only 1" so far. but everyone I've talked to has said the pedal should still be stiff even with a smaller bore.

Re: New brakes suck
Ok. Just an idea. I had the same issues on my motorcycle. I was running a 9/16" MC to a four puck caliper and i could squeeze it all the way to the grip and it did almost nothing. I went to a 5/8" MC and it worked awesome. Just that little bit of extra fluid volume made all the difference in the world. I know it's not a truck brake system, but it operates on the same principal.
