Gas Pedal Adapter (My version)

I'm currently doing an LS swap and just learned of the LFD throttle adapter that allows you to use a cable type pedal instead of the rod type... and also how they are hard to find since he's stopped making them....

So I came up with my own. A little reverse engineering never hurt anyone. Gonna test fit it tonight and make sure i got all the dimensions correct.

Re: Gas Pedal Adapter (My version)

Finally got around to mocking up the adapter that i made this weekend. I need to get some different bolts for mounting it to the firewall. All i had laying around was some old carriage bolts. lol.

I've contacted LFD and he's ok with me making some and selling them. If you are interested, i'm gonna start a thread on the parts section.

Re: Gas Pedal Adapter (My version)

Installed the 71 72 pedal assembly this weekend with a Lokar throttle cable. Thanks '70_402 for the parts and the inspiration!

Re: Gas Pedal Adapter (My version)

Cable throttle pedal assembly for Gas Pedal Adapter. I ordered one on ebay and it looked to be from a 73+ model truck or car.
After buying a 71-72 Pedal assembly and installing it this weekend on my 69 C10 it looks as if the 73+ assembly would work with this swap.

When comparing it to the installed 71-72 swap it appears the 73+ might move the pedal over to the right just a bit which looks to be stock position.

If anyone is interested PM me - $25 (Paypal) delivered in the Lower 48 via good old USPS.

thanks
