I have a 6.2 in a 85 chevy k30 that is not running right when it warms up it has no power on top end and acts like it's not getting enough fuel and a lot of blue smoke

Make sure your fuel filter is not clogged.

Re: 6.2 problems

There are a number of things that can cause that. Have you checked pump timing?

The truck is running it's just has no power when you give it a lot of fuel it dies and then it doesn't even want to idle right but if you shut it off it will crank back and idle fine until you give it a lot of fuel again

Now it will idle fine and have power then all at once it has almost no pedal and when you take your foot of the pedal it shuts off and then will crank right back up and idle good again until you give it a lot of fuel

Re: 6.2 problems

You may have an injection pump going out.

Re: 6.2 problems

Pick up sock in fuel tank could be clogged. Especially if truck had been sitting for a while.
