Steel Fuel Line from Pump to Carb (SBC 350)
I rebuilt my Edelbrock 1403 carb and am going to be putting it back on my Small Block 350 4-bolt main from a 1975 C20 soon. The fuel pump is stock, as is the manifold, but I have an adapter between the carb and the manifold. I am using a hardline 90 degree adapter on the carb with a fuel filter on the end.
My question is: are there any fuel lines that are pre-bent that might work with that setup? If the top section that goes back towards the carb is long enough, I would be OK with cutting and flaring the end to connect it directly to the fuel filter / hard line on the carb. Otherwise, is it likely that I will have to bend the fuel line myself, and if so is it really that difficult? I have a pipe bender and flare tool from harbor freight, if that helps. |

I have a similar situation, 1405, Eddy manifold + 1" spacer, and would like to get rid of the short rubber hose from the cut off OEM metal line to the carb.
There are hard lines that include a filter housing that end about where the OEM line takes the bend to the Qjet. Haven't found a pre-made metal line to run from the pump to that end. Found a few flex line options. But that just flip-flops the metal/rubber parts. |

I would buy a couple pieces of hard line. Take a coat hanger and bend that for a template. And try your hand at bending your lines. I bent all my fuel and brake lines on my build, not that hard once you get a handle on it.

for about $20 there is a tubing bender that can be bought at most auto parts stores works like a charm

CAn anyone link me to which nut I need to slide onto the fuel line before doing the flare? I believe the connection is an AN6 connection? |

You will use 3/8 hard line, and 5/8-18 tube nuts. I would recommend that you also install a fuel pressure regulator, as edelbrock carbs can be pretty sensitive to fuel pressure.

I made my own out of aluminum tubing. I also used a bender that I got at ace hardware, its a giant spring made for bending copper line. lets you bend it tight and not kink it. been working great for 2 years.
