I need guidance,,,, please.
I am sure it has been covered somewhere here, but I cannot find it. How do I remove this shifter from the transmission. I think I read push down and twist???Thanks, Fred.

I don't think you actually twist the lever. Push the shift lever down and twist the metal cover on the top of the tower. (I think CCW) You will have to spray around the cover with penetrating oil and let it set a while. You may have to tap around it with a plastic hammer too. LockDoc
