Couple Garage/Shop Projects
THIS is what you do when your bored out of your mind recovering from some minor surgery. Had nasal passage re-construction surgery and polyps removed both nostrils. Can't really go outside, Dr. said stay out of cold, wind, and dusty dry conditions. Lately that is all that we have had here in the flat lands. Extremely dry, fire hazard type dry.
Made these valve cover hat/coat racks out of some old scripted 283 valve covers I had laying around. Some pitting to both of them, would not do for a restoration but should look good hanging on the wall. Bead blasted both, blew a small hole thru the rust on one. 2 part epoxy mix, dry, sand, prime and paint. Used VHT Chevy Orange, stencil painted the Chevrolet script, couple scrap boards, brass and twisted wire coat hooks and there you have it. Will put one in the shop and one in the garage. Just using up some vintage GM covers rather than tossing them in the recycle metal heap. Hope you guys like them. Think they turned out pretty well for using just "stuff" I had laying around.

Re: Couple Garage/Shop Projects
Very nice! My wife asked if she could have an old spot light I had laying around today. She made a bird feeder. She says she can just turn it upside down when it rains. Gotta love these home projects.

Liking the bird feeder. Nice use of vintage and surplus items that most folks would not think twice about tossing in the trash/landfill or even metal recycle bin.
