PT Cruiser fuel tank, for swap?

My girlfriend's 2007 PT Cruiser broke down and she got a brand new car.

I expressed interest in taking the whole A/C setup off the car to use on my 1965 C10, it really cooled well even in horrible hot Phoenix area.

She says yes, I can have it, so I'll take everything, the underdash unit with blower ac coil, heater core, wiring, controls, ducts and maybe even ac bezels on dash, ac hoses, compressor, condenser and even fan assembly.

I know the compressor probably won't work with my current engine, but might with a 5.3, if not get a sanden compressor with similar pumping displacement, might be able to modify hoses, if not no big deal.

Could that fuel tank and pump fuel a 5.3 vortec? It's not a huge tank and I might be able to fit it under the truck somewhere.

The car will go to a junkyard and they might ***** about stuff missing, but it's free and I know these parts all worked.

If the PT Cruiser pump is too weak for a V8, maybe a stronger pump could be put in tank, what do you think?

Right now I don't have a 5.3, this is just grabbing stuff to have for one day.

15 gallon tank according to google.

Re: PT Cruiser fuel tank, for swap?

How much fuel PSI does a 5.3 or 4.8 need?

58 psi is what you need.
