C10 Dorman Tail Lights with trim question
I just got some Dorman tail lights with the trim and the trim is separate from the plastic. I'm guessing this has to be bent around the lens so who has experience with these? I don't want to mangle it trying to fit it and from the looks of it could be easy to fubar.
I searched the site and couldn't find anything |

Re: C10 Dorman Tail Lights with trim question
I got new trim for my tail lights, they weren't Dorman. But anyways, they do come separate. I don't recall having any issues swapping mine out.

Re: C10 Dorman Tail Lights with trim question
I replaced mine 2 years ago. The chrome trim was hard to work it over the lens but finally did. I think I may have got the sides mixed up at first. After working with them for several minutes, they went on correctly. It was a PITA at first, but was glad when I got them figured out. IIRC, they are left and right specific.

I bought the dorman taillights for my truck. The chrome came separate I just bent the tabs with my fingers to fit. It cut 3 minutes into my coffee time.

Re: C10 Dorman Tail Lights with trim question
They fit very loose and before I attempt to bend the tabs I just wanted to see if anyone had trouble with it, It looks like the trim could twist as loose as the fit is. I'm going to have to send one back though, it got broke during shipment

Re: C10 Dorman Tail Lights with trim question
i got some replacements ONLY for the trim (cheaper to get both than just the trim), and put the trim on my OEM light. basically laid it in place, and bend the edges around the tail light to hold it in place. Just go slow, it's pretty easy.
