2" drop shackle measurement?

I want to modify my rear shackle mounts to drop my truck another 2" but need to know how much higher to make the top bolt hole. Will raising the hole 2" drop the truck 2"? Can someone measure the ones on their truck for me? Thanks...corn

Stock shackles are 4" center to center. The Western Chassis shackle is either 5.5" or 6.5", lower hole or top hole. Going with 6.5" (top hole), lowers it 1.25" at axle center, 5.5" hole (lower hole), lowers it .75" at axle center. Everyone will refer to them as being 2" or 2.5" drop shackles, but it will not actually drop the truck this amount.

Here are the shackles the PO had made and on my truck when I got it. They are 6.75" center to center. These will be as long as you can make them. These actually rubbed the bottom of the bed a tad.

Thanks Mike, I was hoping to get another easy 2" in the rear along with my flip kit. I also removed the center leaf (5 leaf pack) & with the longer shackles I should have close to the 7"total rear drop that Im looking for dont you think? Thanks alot for the help & do you still have those hangers by chance?...corn

Yeah, I still have them. You want them? They don't have any bushings but it's easy to buy some.
